Bursary Applicant Eligibility
- Dependent (17-25) of current 5167 member in good standing at the time applications are being excepted.
- Current 5167 member in good standing at the time of application, returning to full time approved post secondary institution.
- Starting or returning full time to a Ministry of Education approved post secondary institution.
- Provide verification of dependent status and/or fall enrollment.
- You did not win a bursary the previous year
Application Process
- Each applicant may submit 350-500 word or 2-minute video submission answering the following question: How would you try to engage with new members in the union? What considerations would you need to build into the strategies?
- Email to bursaries@cupe5167.org
- The applications will be numbered, and identity will not be provided to the Bursary Committee.
- 3 applicants will be selected and bursaries presented at June GMM, Monday, June 22, 2026.
