What OUR UNION Members do:
OUR UNION Members of the Royal Botanical Gardens help maintain, protect, and enhance one of Canada’s largest botanical gardens and nature sanctuaries. Their work includes horticulture, grounds maintenance, conservation support, facility maintenance, equipment operation, and the care of gardens, trails, natural areas, and public spaces enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year. The bargaining unit also includes skilled trades and maintenance workers who support the operation of RBG’s facilities and infrastructure.
Through their expertise and dedication, RBG members help preserve plant collections, maintain beautiful gardens and natural landscapes, support environmental stewardship initiatives, and ensure visitors have safe and enjoyable experiences while connecting with nature. Their work plays an important role in conservation, education, recreation, and environmental sustainability across Hamilton and Burlington.
