CUPE National
The Canadian Union of Public Employees is Canada’s largest union, with over 628,000 members across the country. CUPE represents workers in health care, emergency services, education, early learning and child care, municipalities, social services, libraries, utilities, transportation, airlines and more. They have more than 70 offices across the country, in every province.
CUPE Ontario (OD)
CUPE Ontario is the political wing of the Canadian Union of Public Employees—Canada’s largest union—in the country’s most populated province. With more than 240,000 members, CUPE Ontario is a formidable political voice. They campaign at the provincial level for legislative, policy and political change on issues affecting public services and our dedicated members who deliver them.
Hamilton & District CUPE Council (HDCC)
The Hamilton & Area CUPE Council web provides information about Council affiliation, what the Council does and about the Locals and their activities going on. Also news of a Local, Provincial; National and the World. This site will have videos; information on the rules for bargaining Collective Agreements in Ontario. It also has a calendar of upcoming events.
Canadian Labour Congress (CLC)
The Canadian Labour Congress, the national voice of the labour movement, represents 3.3 million Canadian workers. The CLC brings together Canada’s national and international unions along with the provincial and territorial federations of labour and 111 district labour councils.
Hamilton District Labour Council (HDLC)
The Hamilton and District Labour Council is the voice of working people in Hamilton. An affiliate of the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC). an umbrella group that brings together local unions so that collectively we can better represent our members, defend free collective bargaining, assist the unorganized and generally improve the quality of life in our city.
Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL)
The Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) is the province’s “house of labour” and serves as an umbrella group for working people and their unions. The OFL pushes for legislative change in every area that affects people’s daily lives, including health, education, workplace safety, minimum wage and other employment standards, human rights, women’s rights, workers’ compensation, and pensions.
